The International Award for Young People – Türkiye brought its volunteers together at the 17th Active Award Leaders and the 8th Supervisors Meeting, held for the second time in Fethiye on 18–19 October 2025.
More than 200 volunteers from different cities across Türkiye came together over two days to share knowledge and renew their motivation.
Throughout the meeting, participants exchanged insights on the current practices of the Award, shared good practice examples, and reflected on their volunteering experiences. In addition to plenary sessions, an interactive and productive working environment was created through small group meetings.
During the meeting, a commemorative plaque was presented to Dr. Hakan Çalışkan in honour of the 20th year of the Award in Türkiye, by Honorary President Sultan Yılmaz, TİKAV Chairman of the Board Hülya Kırçuval, and Dr. Füsun Dönmez, who has recently taken over the role.
In addition, volunteers who have been contributing to the Award for 10 and 15 years were recognised for their dedication and efforts.
Eight volunteers were presented 10-year plaques, while three volunteers were given 15-year plaques.
This gathering was concluded in a strong spirit of solidarity and sharing, held in Fethiye's unique atmosphere.
Being a part of this large and dedicated family that supports young people on their development journey is a proud moment for us, which is made possible by the commitment and energy of our volunteers.
